I forgot to bring in my very own Lemon Kiss Me Cake recipe. I invented this cake not long ago and am very taken with it. I feel I have a responsibility to share this recipe with the world. It is ultra-moist (brown sugar does the trick), made with oil not butter, chocolate chips, walnuts, and a ton of grated lemon rind and lemon juice. Lemon, chocolate, moistness, what more could you want? Stay tuned for the recipe.
By the way, our Japanese students sometimes bring us delightful and strange candies from their homeland-they have a jelly-like consistency and sometimes taste like fishy seaweed. Nearly every Japanese student I've talked with dislikes American desserts (too rich) but for some reason everyone loves cheesecake.
